Roll Tables
Four roll tables drive case setup and form generation. Roll order, per case: case-seed → forms-per-case → for each form, form-variables and complication.
- Case-Seed Table (1d6)
Rolled at the start of every case to determine the archetype.
- Forms-per-Case (1d4+1)
Rolled once per case to determine how many forms fill the dossier (range 2–5).
- Complication Table (1d8)
Rolled after each form is read but before footnoting. The destabilizing fact your footnotes must reckon with.
- Form-Variable Tables (various)
Per-form roll tables — one block per form. Roll these to fill the [BLANK] fields before reading.
